You will paddle down the rapids and natural waterfalls, swim in turquoise water, jump off the cliffs, camp under the stars, wake up to the sound of the river, and indulge in the beautiful scenery around you.
Mreznica River is one of the most beautiful Croatian rivers. Clean emerald water, untouched nature, deep karst canyon, and more than 90 travertine waterfalls make this canyon and river irresistible.

KAYAKING & CAMPING MREZNICA RIVER

You will paddle down the rapids and natural waterfalls, swim in turquoise water, jump off the cliffs, camp under the stars, wake up to the sound of the river, and indulge in the beautiful scenery around you.
Mreznica River is one of the most beautiful Croatian rivers. Clean emerald water, untouched nature, deep karst canyon, and more than 90 travertine waterfalls make this canyon and river irresistible.

EQUIPMENT
Each guest will be provided with basic kayaking equipment and safety gear: kayak (we usually use 2-person sit-on-top inflatable kayaks), paddle, water shoes, neoprene suit, life jacket, and helmet. We will provide you with a waterproof barrel where you can store food, water, and personal belongings during the trip.
Provided camping equipment: tent (for 2) and mat
Things to bring with you: sleeping bag (we can provide one for 15 €), water shoes or sneakers, long-sleeved shirt/s for kayaking, swimming suit, sunscreen, towel.

Day 1: Mreznica Canyon Kayaking & Camping under the stars
Your adventure begins around 1 PM at our base camp in the small riverside village of Zečev Varoš. If you need a transfer from Zagreb or another location, we’re happy to arrange it for an additional fee.
Once you arrive, you’ll meet your guide and get fitted with all the necessary kayaking equipment. After a short introduction and a quick paddling lesson, we’re ready to begin.
We’ll take a short drive to our starting point on the river, and from there, the real fun begins. You’ll paddle through a stunning narrow canyon, glide over gentle rapids, jump from waterfalls (if you’re up for it!), and swim in crystal-clear emerald pools.
After about two hours of paddling, we’ll take a short break, then continue another hour downstream to a charming old watermill — our wild camping spot for the night. Here, we’ll set up camp, enjoy the peaceful nature, and your guide will prepare a delicious meal by the river.
The day ends with fun stories and a night sleeping under the stars — a true back-to-nature experience.

Day 2 – Waterfalls, Wild Swimming & Picnic by the River
After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast prepared by your guide, we pack up camp and continue paddling downstream. The river treats us to more beautiful waterfalls and gentle rapids as we make our way through peaceful, untouched nature.
There will be plenty of time to swim, float, and soak up the sun along the way — this part of the river is all about relaxing and enjoying the moment.
We’ll finish our journey at a riverside camp, where your guide will prepare a delicious picnic lunch. Take a final dip in the clear water, relax in the shade, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
In the afternoon, we’ll pick you up and transfer you back to our base, full of memories from two adventurous days on the river.
