ju\u017eni dio zemlje, svakako preporu\u010dujemo da avanturu upotpunite odlaskom na poluotok Pelje\u0161ac. Ston je \u0161armantan grad na samom po\u010detku poluotoka koji je poznat po svojim zidinama izgra\u0111enim 1333. kada je Ston u\u0161ao u sastav Dubrova\u010dke Republike. Svrha zidina bila je obrana Republike i poluotoka. Ston se smatra jednim od najbolje planiranih i najbolje strukturiranih gradova u Europi. Stonski zidovi bili su masivan arhitektonski i gra\u0111evinski podvig. Izvorno duge 7000 metara (22 965 ft), sastoje se od vi\u0161e dijelova; gradske zidine Stona, gradske zidine Malog Stona i Veliki zid s tri utvrde. Njegove utvrde i kule oja\u010dane su s 10 okruglih i 31\u00a0 bo\u010dnih kula te 6 polukru\u017enih bastiona. Zidovi su zadnji put kori\u0161teni u 19. stolje\u0107u za obranu grada i mjesta u kojima su se nalazile velike koli\u010dine soli, a danas su neprocjenjiv spomenik goleme arhitektonske i kulturne vrijednosti.
